Registration is now open for the NBN Academy Civic Creator Cohort. The cohort is open to anyone age 14 and up having an impact in Norfolk, including new civic leaders and other neighborhood influencers who can benefit from understanding and being more connected to Norfolk’s city government. Join Pretlow Library for a Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 26th from 2–4 PM.


 

Through mid-fall, contractor crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) are scheduled to implement multiweek closures impacting the I-64 Reversible Express Lanes in Norfolk, located between I-264 and I-564, to facilitate the completion of essential roadway activities and bridge widening as part of construction for the first phase of the Hampton Roads Express Lane (HREL) Norfolk Segment. The 2024 Stockley Gardens Fall Arts Festival is right around the corner! Join us Saturday, October 19th & Sunday, October 20th 10am – 5pm for great art from over 130 artists from across the U.S., amazing live musical performances, kid’s activities, and food vendors. You don’t want to miss this fun-filled weekend in Norfolk’s historic Ghent neighborhood.

The NFK2050 Public Plan Workshop will take place on Saturday, October 26th, from 11 AM–3 PM, at Granby High School (7101 Granby Street). Attendees can give feedback to the NFK2050 team on emerging plan goals and actions.
